WEEKE Bohrsysteme GmbH was an independent, family-run company until 1986, specialising in the manufacture of woodworking machinery. It was then acquired by the HOMAG Group to complement their existing product range. The company name, WEEKE, expired on 01/03/2017 and has been replaced by HOMAG Bohrsysteme. WEEKE’s model names will continue to be used for the time being.

WEEKE’s product range can be classified as follows:

Product class CNC stationary technology Front processing technology Throughfeed technology CNC processing centres Front processing CNC drilling centres Cabinet base processing CNC-drilling and dowel inserting Cabinet side processing

WEEKE manufactured a wide range of products featuring every machine needed for processing profiles and panel materials. WEEKE was especially strong in the field of CNC woodworking technology. They produced boring centres, drill- and fitting insertion machines, nesting machines, routers and complete woodworking machining centres. WEEKE was also a specialist in throughfeed technology. These machines were designed for the continuous processing of large series and were capable of achieving consistent quality. The product range was rounded off by a selection of machines for drilling and insertion of fittings. WEEKE machines of this type were particularly productive when it came to the automatic milling of recesses, which could then be filled with any type of fitting.

Many of WEEKE’s machines are still being marketed under their original model names, but they also now feature the HOMAG label. It is to be expected that WEEKE series will gradually be replaced by new generations of devices as more technological advancements are made.

WEEKE CNC machining centres

WEEKE CNC machining centres were produced in three series. These three series featured a large range of models suitable for many types of application.

Series Venture Vantage BMG Venture 106 Vantage 43M BMG 211 Venture 107 Vantage 100 BMG 411 Venture 108 Vantage 200 Venture 109 Venture 113 Venture 114 Venture 115 Venture 220 Venture 230 Venture 240

WEEKE VENTURE

The VENTURE Series with its ten models represents WEEKE’s widest range of CNC machining centres. These machines are configured in such a way that entry-level models are kept affordable and are then capable of being expanded in a number of ways. The smallest machine in this series is the VENTURE 106. It offers milling dimensions of 1550 millimetres and an eightfold tool changer. The largest machine in the series provides space for up to 28 interchangeable tools and features three extraction units as standard. The wide selection of intermediate models, such as the WEEKE Venture 3 and Venture 5, makes choosing the right machine for your needs very simple.

WEEKE VANTAGE

The WEEKE VANTAGE Series consists of three CNC routers. They offer complete processing, such as drilling, routing and sawing as well as grooving for standard- to large-scale series. The key feature of the VANTAGE Series is the way the machines can be configured individually. The modular system used enables a wide range of options making these devices easy to adapt in line with the operator’s requirements. This modular system is still being maintained by HOMAG, which means that all the individual tools can still be sourced to ensure the machines are capable of performing as originally intended. There are three models available within the VANTAGE Series.

WEEKE BMG

The two CNC machining centres of the BMG Series are designed for the processing of large panels/boards. Longitudinal milling dimensions of 6500 millimetres mean the machines are capable of far more than standard applications. A total of 22 tool holders means processing chipboard has never been easier, faster and more comprehensive.

WEEKE CNC drilling centres

WEEKE produced four CNC drilling centres which are still being manufactured by HOMAG.

WEEKE BHX 050
The BHX 50 is an affordable, entry-level machine for simple drilling operations in chipboard. It features a vertical part feeding mechanism. The main benefits of the BHX 50 are simple controls and a compact design.

WEEKE BHX 055
The BHX 55 is almost identical to the BHX 50 but is capable of processing panels up to 550 millimetres longer.

WEEKE BHX 200
This machine is the largest vertical machining centre made by the manufacturer. Its 36 working spindles facilitate especially fast and comprehensive processing options.

WEEKE BHX 500
This horizontal machining centre features an impressively fast throughfeed rate while ensuring maximum precision. This is achieved thanks to a travel speed of up to 130 m/minute.

WEEKE CNC-drilling and dowel inserting machines

WEEKE’s CNC drill- and fitting insertion machines can perform exceedingly well as solitary machines or as part of a large-scale production lines. They are popular for their simple controls and consistent precision. WEEKE/HOMAG offers two series of CNC-drilling and dowel inserting machines.

WEEKE ABD 050/060
This machine features an integrated vibrating feeder unit to introduce dowels into the machine, a clamping cylinder (manually adjustable in length and thickness), as well as a low-pressure glue pump with a noise-reducing, compact design and low energy consumption.

WEEKE ABD 260
This machine has been specially designed for vertical drilling in edge areas. Eight adjustable clamping cylinders ensure each workpiece is held in place and three vertical drill spindles allow easy and fast materials handling.

This range of equipment enables fittings to be automatically inserted right after drilling and makes the end product ready for installation, i.e. cabinet panels. The end user simply has to follow an instruction manual and put each of the panels into position. The ready-inserted fittings/dowels ensure the final product is just a few short steps away. Machine-controlled insertion of fittings greatly reduces waste and the chance of defective parts. WEEKE produced three series of front processing machines in conjunction with LIGMATECH, which today are manufactured under the HOMAG brand. These machines enable the operator to produce a complete piece of furniture with just one device. Cabinet floor and sides machining, front-processing, pick-and-place feeding systems, e.g. for plug hinges, drawer slides and rail adaptors – everything is possible with an ABF, ABH, BHH or ABL Series machine.

WEEKE throughfeed machines are used in the serial production of a wide range of items made from panel materials. The intended holes are marked via a horizontal feeding method and the drilling then commences to create consistently high-quality, freely configurable drill hole patterns. WEEKE originally produced three series of this device, two of which were combined by HOMAG to create the BTX series.

Series BHH BHT BST BHH 350-400 BHT 500 BST 501 Optimat BST 503 Optimat BST 505 Optimat BST 507 Optimat BST 800

WEEKE BHH
The BHH Series has been designed to simultaneously process two front edges on a given workpiece. Drilling, gluing, and dowel/fittings insertion processes are also major advantages and they can also be performed simultaneously. Popular machines within this range are the WEEKE BHC 350 and Optimat BHC 550, which are flexible CNC machining centres designed primarily for routing, boring, and grooving of flat panel components without special fixtures.

WEEKE BST
Maximum productivity and speed are the main highlights of the BST Series, which includes the highly-regarded WEEKE BST 100, BST 500 and BST 800. Up to 30 parts can be completely processed within a single minute, which makes machines from the BST Series real money-makers. There is a total of five models in the BST Series, which are still being produced under their original names by HOMAG.

WEEKE BHT
The BHT Series features the BHT 500, a machine capable of five-sided drilling, creating longitudinal and transverse grooves, fully-automated set-up in 20 seconds, and much more. The BHT Series is still being produced by HOMAG but under the ‘BHX’ range, which is home to one of the most the popular WEEKE routers, the BHX 055.

The majority of WEEKE CNC and routers for sale have, for some time, actually been produced by HOMAG. This is due to the WEEKE company being acquired by the HOMAG Group over thirty years ago. On the second-hand market, WEEKE machines are generally CNC machining centres, such as the WEEKE BP 12 Optimat or BP 100, BP 120 and BP 145, which can regularly be sourced in a used condition.

Thanks to HOMAG’s outstanding international reputation as a producer of high-quality machinery, WEEKE-brand used machines are just as productive and efficient as newer equipment. Membership in the HOMAG Group also ensures servicing, documentation and replacement parts will be easy to source for a long time to come. This makes used WEEKE CNC routers and WEEKE nesting CNCs a safe investment and the ideal way to complement any existing fleet.
